Napa Valley Transit

Napa Valley Transit (NVT) operates along the Highway 29 corridor between Vallejo (in Solano County to the south) and Calistoga (the northernmost point of Napa County).

NVT serves the cities of American Canyon, Napa, St. Helena, and Calistoga, as well as the Town of Yountville and the communities of Rutherford and Oakville.

NVT buses have wheelchair lifts, three wheelchair positions per bus, a "kneeling" feature, and bicycle racks mounted on the front for two bikes each. Buses feature padded and fabric-covered seats, package racks and reading lights.

NVT makes thirteen trips daily from Napa south to Vallejo, with seven of these trips continuing on to Calistoga and back.

In Vallejo, NVT makes timed connections with most Vallejo ferries, and connects with Vallejo Transit, Benicia Transit, and Vallejo BARTlink in Vallejo. In Napa, NVT connects with the VINE, Napa's City bus.

Cash fares on NVT are zonal. There are four zones. The cash base fare for adults is $1.00, plus $.50 for each additional zone; $.75 for students age 6-18 plus $.35 for each additional zone, and $.50 for seniors and disabled, plus $.25 for each additional zone. Monthly passes are available for $40 adult, $30 student, and $20 senior/disabled, offering unlimited rides.

Transfers: Issued on boarding and good for free transfer to VINE, American Canyon Transit, and local Vallejo transit routes. Base fare credit given for transfers to Benicia Transit and BARTlink.

Areas of interest served by NVT: Vallejo Ferry Terminal, Downtown Vallejo, Marine World (transfer to Vallejo Transit necessary), BARTlink (to El Cerrito Del Norte BART), Downtown Napa, Napa Valley College, South Napa Marketplace, Silverado Plaza, Queen of the Valley Hospital, Bel Aire Plaza, Downtown Yountville, the California Veterans' Home, Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena High School, Downtown St. Helena, Sutter Home Winery, Brava Terrace and Franciscan Winery, Boothe State Park, Bale Mill Inn, St. Helena Premium Outlets, and Downtown Calistoga.
